Ulavu Thiruvizha 2020 : Valedictory

On a great noble notion of inculcating the values of Agriculture in the young minds,”UZHAVU THIRUVILA– 2020” was held in Paavai Engineering College organized by Agriculture Engineering Department. The chairman of Paavai Educational Institutions Mr.CA.N.V.NATARAJAN sir, presided over the function. The Chief Guest was Mr.G.SRIRAMPRASAD, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of KEERAIKADAI,Coimbatore. The special invitees were S.V.KAMARASU, Head of cooperative society leading coconut Producer and Sri L.MAYAKRISHNAN, Assistant Director of Agriculture Engineering Department,Namakkal. Director Administration of Paavai Institutions Dr.K.K.RAMASAMY welcomed the gathering.Our beloved correspondent mam Smt.MANGAI NATARAJAN enlightened the “Kuthu Vilakku”. Special guests in their speech said, “Feeling very happy to witness that you all still adore the values of agriculture and are still rooted to our customs. By going with the noble words of Thiruvalluvar in his Tirukural, “Farming is the primary job, mind of society and backbone of our nation and Farmers are creators”. Natural farming is vital for a healthy life. The words of our forefathers is that “Food is medicine”. If we have proper food habits it will safeguard us from various diseases and also act as a remedy to it. Moreover in agriculture, the joint venture has improved the ecology & relationships. But the saddening part is, the quality of agriculture is diminishing. In addition, the use of artificial fertilizers is affecting the nature of the plant. So, as a student you need to realize the greatness of agriculture and restore its nature and create a prosperous society. To do so you need to have a sound positive mind, self-confidence, cognitive skills and should act subtly. The reformation that you bring in agriculture will lead to a improved, healthy and enhanced society. “My Hearty Wishes to all of you”. Preceding this, respected chairman Mr.CA.N.V.NATARAJAN sir presented shawl & a token of remembrance to our special invitees and later our beloved chairman sir and correspondent mam visited the exhibition with all the department faculty members and students.The function ended with National Anthem. The event was enriched by the presence of our Secretary Mr.T.R.Palanivel, Director Admin Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, Dean of Academics Mrs.K.Selvi, Principal Of Paavai Engineering College Dr.M.Premkumar, the HOD of Agriculture Engineering Department Mr.K.Vishnubharath, Deans and HOD of various Departments, faculty members, farmers and students of other firms. The vote of the thanks was delivered by Ms.A.Ajitha, 3rd year Agriculture Engineering Department.
