A Workshop on “Leadership Skills” was organized for the committee members of all Paavai Educational Institutions at smart hall, Pec, on 16.09.2019.Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, the chairman, Paavai Institutions gave a special address on the title, “Leadership Skills”. In the beginning of the address, the chairman defined the term, “leadership” and cited leadership quotes from famous educationist and leaders of the world. He explained about the qualities of a good leader and elaborated each point by narrating incidents and stories from the life of leaders of the nation. He also stated that, the leaders emulate the qualities such as decision making, empathy, strong vision, optimism and guiding the followers to reach the goal. “Further, The Chairman concentrated on the topic, “How to develop leadership qualities”. In this context, he illustrated the qualities of Mr.Narendira modi, Prime minister of India, by stating that Mr.Narendira Modi is an effective communicator as he influenced the whole world by his art of communication. Further, he went on saying that, the leaders need to be a good decision maker at an appropriate time and he said that the delay in decision will end up in denial in result. Later, he listed out the styles of leadership like aristocratic, democratic and participative. Finally, the chairman concluded by showing the statistical analysis which exhibits that the behavior of a strong leader contributes more to a team’s commitments, loyalty, motivation, pride and productivity of their team members. The committee members sweared that they will develop their leadership skills and ensured that they will exalt themselves to be the best leaders forever. Earlier, P.Durga, III rd year ECE, PEC welcomed the gathering. Totally, there were 120 participants who got benefitted from this programme. With this the programme came to an end.
