In the Paavai Mission of Women Empowerment Series, a special address on “Feel! If you are Eyes, Dicipline & Self Control os your lids” was held on 16th September 2019 in Anandha Arangam at 2.30 pm. The programme commenced with the prayer song. Ms. K.Gowri of II B.Com welcomed the gathering. The Chairman of Paavai Institutions honoured the chief guest with shawl and momento. In his presidential address he stated that Self-control and discipline alone will safeguard the students like the eyelids protecting the eyes. He asked the students to rely upon newspaper and books, which are authentic and should have the habit of reading as breathing. Ms.C.F.Reshma of I B.A. English introduced the Chief Guest. The Guest Speaker Dr.P.Sankaralingam, H.M. (Retd), Govt. Girls Higher Sec School, T.Vadipatti, Madurai, in his speech cited the woman pioneers in various fields like Karaikkal Ammaiyar, Jhansi Rani Lakshmi Bhai, Kuyili, Muthulakshmi, Savithri Bai Poole, Avvaiyar and so on who brought changes in the family, society and the world by their courageous and noble deeds. He added that women should avoid doing things that brings misery and do what brings happiness, pride and progress. The Guest speaker concluded his speech by insisting the students to reach the heights with wide heart, discipline, will power and be a model to the world. The programme came to an end with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms.M.Jenifa of II B.A. English followed by the National Anthem.
