International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Paavai Educational Institutions. The event was presided over by the Founder & Chairman of Paavai Educational Institutions, Shri CA N.V. Natarajan, who also delivered the Presidential Address. Correspondent Smt. Mangai Natarajan graced the occasion with her presence. The special guest of the event was Mr. Balasubramaniam, an industrialist from Rasipuram.

Dr. K. K. Ramasamy, Director (Administration) of Paavai Educational Institutions, delivered the welcome address and greeted all the dignitaries and participants.

The special guest, Mr. Balasubramaniam, delivered a keynote address. In his speech, he said,
“Today, the yoga demonstrations performed by the students on the occasion of International Yoga Day were excellent and well-coordinated. Celebrating Yoga Day every year at Paavai is a commendable initiative. Yoga is an ancient gift passed down to us by our ancestors in India. Yoga and meditation belong to the same discipline. Practicing them daily helps in aligning the body, mind, and soul, thereby increasing physical strength. It also enables us to direct our minds along the right path and provides the mental clarity required to carry out our duties effectively.

As youth, instead of wasting time on social media, engaging in productive activities like yoga will benefit your health and inspire the next generation to appreciate its value. The reason Indians hold key positions in various countries is due to the culture, lifestyle, and practices like yoga that they have learned in India. Therefore, yoga should not be confined to a single day but must be followed as a way of life. You must also create awareness about yoga within your families and communities. My best wishes to all of you.”

Following this, all the students actively participated in a group yoga session. Earlier, two students gave a demonstration explaining the importance and techniques of yoga.

Shri CA N. V. Natarajan, Founder & Chairman of Paavai Educational Institutions, honored the special guest with a memento and a shawl as a token of appreciation. The event concluded on a graceful note with a patriotic folk performance.

The event was also attended by Smt. C. Jayalakshmi, Dean Counselling of Paavai Educational Institutions, Mr. Santhanaraja, Director of Physical Education, along with heads of various departments, faculty members, and students.
